Last entry for LPD

Finally, I have to pay for the flooding matter. However, I have talked with the insurance company. I am now waiting for their reply. See wheatear I can claim or not. Hope all the best.
2 assignments to go! They are Digital Library essay and LPD portfolio. I am really looking for my xmas holidays and trip to France.

About LPD

All items have done. I am going to do final check on this week. Hopefully everything is alright in LPD. I hope I can do the best for every item and it can help me for my future careers =] Cheers!

Very not in mood

Just have a meeting with the accommodation officer. She said that according to the condition of hall, we could repair the damage and charge for you without any notification. The cost of such damage will be solely determined by us and we agree to act reasonably at all times. That is mean I have still to pay. I am now going to insurance company to ask for help. Hope it can help me to solve the problem. This incident is really a disaster for me indeed.

About LPD

I have finished All about Interview. It made me to know more about the types of interview. Still, I have finished the video of interview with my classmate, Andrew Chow. I was very nervous because it was my first time to do this kind of individual interview. By the way, it was a very good experience. I will do the reflection of this interview and the appraisal for Andrew’s covering letter and CV on this week. Hopefully, all the things of LPD are on processing.

A good news and a bad news

I have received the results of proposal of final project and hfrm assignment 1. The proposal is bad and I only got 38% on it. It is because I ignored a main part of it. Therefore, I wrote wrong things on my proposal. However, cheer up! I got 2:1 65% on my hfrm assignment. No matter they are good or bad. I should work hard then.

About LPD
Because I have to design the questionnaire of my final project and do digital library assignment 1, I have not started doing All about Interview. By the way, I have read the page about it and started thinking about it. Hopefully, I will complete it on this week.

Terrible

Some thing was happened today. My mother received a call which said me was kidnapped and blackmailed her money. It is really scared me. I don’t know who did it. Shame on the person! By then, it is settled and should be no problem now.

Today, I handed in my HFRM assignment. So happy about that.

About LPD

Today, Bob brought us to MMU career center. It is my first time to go in. There is much information about career. They are useful not only for LPD project, but also my career prospect. It made me know a lot about career market in UK. Good

By then, I have finished the appraisal of the effectiveness of engaging with employers and employment agencies. I don’t know too much about it in UK so I did a research of it before doing this item. On this week, I will going to do next item.

Not in mood

The bill's problem has yet to settle. I am worry about a week. It affected my study and mood at all. I have sent email to accommodation office but still yet to reply me. To save my money for in case to pay it, I eat bread everyday and seldom eat expensive now.
By then, I went to Trafford Centre for a walk on last Friday. It is my first time to be there. It is a nice and big shopping mall. I like it =]

About LPD
I have done the job hunting and start doing CV and cover letter on this week. I chose to search flight attendant and museum education officer. However, I cannot match the entry requirement of the later one. Therefore, I will still choose flight attendant as my first priority work and do CV and cover letter for it. 

Worry

Last week, I had received a bill which is given by university accommodation office. It asked me to paid for the damage of flooding on the floor and cost me about 1000 pound. It is a huge amount for me and I don't have money now. I am really very confused and worry about that. By the way, I have wrote to the office to express the matter and now waiting for reply. Not in mood in everything now......

About LPD
After listening the talk of our graduate, I have found some useful tips for looking a job. I think she is a successful one. She presented very clearly and made me to easy understand about a job. The procedures of entry and working conditions were presented detail and systematic. I guess she is systematic in her approach to work too =]
In this week, I will start doing job hunting and looking for my jobs related companies and organizations. I would like to choose British Museum and Cathay Pacific Airways

Reading week

Start reading week today. It is the time for me doing homework. Study life is as usual. I am going to speed up on this week.
I become lazier now. I start going to buy make food instead of cooking by myself. Well, I must say I do it is because I want to save my time for study. HAHA. Be honest, I like cooking but I don't like washing stuff after cooking.

About LPD
I have just finished my decision making. Then, I will move on goal setting. It is about making an achievable schedule. Goal setting can make me clearly to understand my career prospects step by step. I will search some related information about my ideal job on this week.

Computer idiot

Just hand in my project proposal. I think I did the best on it. HaHa. I am going to start doing literature searching and setting questionnaire soon.
Well I must say I am a computer idiot. So far I assumed there is only one teaching slide for every LPD item on Webct. I told my friend that I could not find any template and worksheet which given by my lecturer. He replied me that they all should be Webct and showed me how to find it.. Actually I could not see the icon of moving to next page on the top left hand side before.. so I missed many slides of it.. I have to redo some of my items... but it is fine.. I am better to know now because I don't want to mess up my things in the last minutes. I will go mad and crazy. 

About LPD
I have done the researching occupation last week. Today I have learnt some things about making decision. Bob taught us some strategies before making a decision. I have to consider both side of a decision and what considerations could be used on it. They are useful for me and I will start doing the decision making exercise on this week. Flight attendant is still my first priority of finding a job. Everything will be keep going on.

Get prepared

I have almost finished my project proposal and start doing HRFM assignment. In the past, I had not tried my best to do my works. I always put off my works to the last minute. It was crazy!! But from now on, I won't do it. I want to have better preparations for my works. As an old saying, Rome was not built on one day. No assignments could be done on one day or without a good preparation. So, I must work hard. The reason is that I want to get a good degree. I know that no pay and no gain, as well as work hard and play hard.
Apart from my study, I have to plan a short trip to Paris on xmas also. Start looking up tour or package already. I want to go to France for a long time. It must be a wonderful place with deep romantic ambience. I am really looking forward to this trip. =]

About LPD
After doing the self assessment and idea generating, those of these helped me reflect myself and beneficial for researching a job, I am now moving to occupations researching. I have listed 4 occupations and I am interested in flight attendant. I realize the importance of understanding the characteristics of work before making a decision. It is because I need to see whether the job is suitable for me. In order to avoid making a wrong decision, I will start researching related information on this week.

Hi! It is my first time to write things on Blogger. Feel good =] ! Hope to have a good start.
So far I am in Manchester almost a month. It is a nice place.. nice surroundings and air. I am going to get used to it. Hopefully, everythings will be alright!
Many units start giving assignments already. On these few days, I am doing the proposal of my project. The topic of my project is The Future of E-Resources in Libraries which is going to research the role of E-Resources in future. It is quite interesting to me. I will do the best on it!
Other than my works, I am suffering a difficulty on lessons. I cannot catch up what my lecturers saying accurately even now..... I must try my best to overcome it.

About LPD
It is a meaningful stuff for recording my life every weeks. I think it is like a self-reflection. It can make us to reflect ourselves by our life and activities. It is beneficial for our self-assessment which is not only on LPD, but also our future careers. Like studying history, learn from our life and stop following the same old disastrous road. It is useful for our self development indeed.
